Jacob Newman joined Trussell Technologies, Inc. in 2020 and currently serves as the company’s Drinking Water Emerging Issues Specialist. Mr. Newman has worked on a myriad of projects spanning drinking water treatment, potable and non-potable reuse, and desalination. He has provided several California utilities with technical and regulatory support to validate alternative free chlorine disinfection credit for recycled water production, working closely with regulators to advance discussions on this important topic. Mr. Newman specializes in the planning, design, permitting, and operational troubleshooting of treatment facilities for the removal of drinking water contaminants including PFAS, hexavalent chromium, nitrate, and manganese. Mr. Newman is a registered Civil Engineer in the State of California. He has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
