Jacob Newman has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Since joining Trussell Technologies in 2020, Mr. Newman has worked on projects related to drinking water treatment, potable and non-potable reuse, and desalination. His select project experience includes regulatory support for free chlorine alternative virus disinfection credit for recycled water, preparation of Title 22 Engineering Reports and Operations Plans for several recycled water and indirect potable reuse (IPR) projects, pipe loop testing and water quality assessment for a corrosion integration study, rapid small-scale column testing for PFAS removal, and collimated beam testing for validation of UV disinfection systems. Additional experience includes development of a planning study for coastal brackish groundwater treatment, bench-scale testing for virus inactivation with chloramines, and preparation of training materials for drinking water treatment operators.
