NRC Report on Municipal Wastewater Reuse now available

The National Academy of Sciences' National Research Council recently published their report on the reuse of municipal wastewater to augment future drinking water supplies. Rhodes Trussell chaired the committee that wrote the report.The report examines a wide range of reuse applications, including potable water, non-potable urban and industrial uses, irrigation, groundwater recharge, and ecological enhancement. The report is now available for download here.

Shane Trussell Named President and COO

We are proud to announce that Shane Trussell has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Trussell Technologies. Rhodes Trussell remains Chairman and CEO of the company. Shane is a registered engineer in the State of California with 15 years of hands-on experience in the field of Environmental Engineering. Shane is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer and has played a critical role in growing Trussell Technologies, Inc. from 2 to 20 employees over the past 8 years. Shane is excited to take on this new role and looks forward to assisting more cities and municipalities with cost-effective solutions to new water challenges. Shane is based in our San Diego office and is active throughout California. He has a Chemical Engineering from U.C. Riverside, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from U.C. Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.

Rhodes Trussell Receives A.P. Black Research Award

R. Rhodes Trussell is the 2010 recipient of the A.P. Black research award. Established in 1967 in honor of Alvin Percy Black. the award is given on an as-deserved basis to recognize outstanding research contributions to water science and water supply rendered over an appreciable period of time. In addition to his many achievements throughout his career, Trussell has contributed to the JOURNAL by serving as one of the members of the inaugural JOURNAL editorial advisory board and as both an author and reviewer.
