Niloufar Gharoon has a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology in Iran. Ms. Gharoon is an environmental engineer at Trussell Technologies with experience in advanced water treatment, potable reuse, water quality monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Her doctoral research focused on organic contaminant removal through soil aquifer treatment.
Since joining Trussell Tech, Ms. Gharoon has contributed to direct and indirect potable reuse projects, corrosion control studies, Lead and Copper Rule Revisions and Lead and Copper Rule Improvements compliance support, and regulatory reporting for water and recycled water projects in California. Her work includes preparing technical memoranda, operations optimization plans, quality assurance project plans, monitoring reports, and regulatory submittals. She also evaluates treatment performance, reviews water quality and operational data, coordinates with laboratories, develops sampling and monitoring programs, and participates in field activities, including tracer studies, UV spot checks bioassay testing.
