Elise Chen has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a registered Civil Engineer in the State of California. Since joining Trussell Technologies in 2014, Ms. Chen has worked in the field on numerous demonstration and full-scale Advanced Water Treatment (AWT) facilities in the Southern California area. Ms. Chen leverages her operations experience to shape various aspects of potable reuse projects like AWT operator training, start-up and commissioning support, facility optimization studies, prequalification of membrane technologies, control strategy optimization. In addition, she has been involved in several research projects to advance the water industry’s understanding of potable reuse. Her general interests include water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, and increasing water security for future generations.
