Ben Christensen, P.E., holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While at Cal Poly, Ben contributed to a bench-scale forward osmosis desalination study and an algae biofuel research project. Prior to returning for his master’s degree, he worked as a lab technician for a winery on California’s Central Coast.
Ben’s graduate work stemmed from a project initiated during his internship at Trussell Technologies, that sought to develop a high-frequency data processing and control framework for ozone disinfection in a direct potable reuse application.
Since joining Trussell full-time, Ben has accumulated several years of experience supporting advanced water treatment and potable reuse projects across Southern California. His work includes hands on support for reverse osmosis (RO) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) pilot studies, plant operations support, and data-driven process optimization and compliance.
Ben is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) in the State of California and continues to focus on advancing practical and innovative solutions in potable reuse and advanced water treatment.
