Aidan Hasegawa (EIT) has a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles, and a M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. During his graduate degree, Aidan was involved in Gadgil Lab for Energy & Water Research where he researched low-cost phosphorus extraction from synthetic urine using electrocoagulation with various electrode configurations. He also engaged in a variety of projects across his undergraduate and graduate careers, such as optimizing desalination plants, testing membrane fouling potential, modeling river flows, and conducting life-cycle assessment. Prior to working at Trussell, Aidan’s internships provided him with experience working with stormwater capture and reuse infrastructure, renewable energy construction, and water treatment plants. Finally, Aidan participated in the UCLA chapters of SHPE, EWB, and ASCE, where he volunteered, tutored, and held leadership positions.
