Radha Kamineni (she/her) has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on the dissolution of the silicate mineral olivine in ocean water, using olivine-containing sediment collected from beaches in Hawaii. Her work focused on quantifying the adsorption of trace metals released from the olivine onto beach sediment. In addition to her academic research, Radha held an internship with the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board in the Waste Discharge Requirements unit. Here, she helped regulate wastewater facilities and lead a community engagement initiative to connect septic-reliant communities on the Central Coast to nearby treatment plants. At Trussell, Radha hopes to apply her skills and experience to support water resource management and protect human and environmental health.
