The Process and Water Quality Specialists
Samantha Bear has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. Her prior experience includes research with Dr. David Sedlak on the removal of trace organic contaminants from wastewater effluent using natural treatment systems. Ms. Bear’s current work includes assessment of source waters for potable reuse with respect to trace organic contaminants, full-scale testing and optimization of tertiary granular media filtration and corrosion prevention in distribution systems incorporating new source waters, in addition to data analysis and technical report writing. She is particularly interested in emerging water quality issues, especially those related to potable reuse and/or trace contaminants.
