Israel Monroy has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. His work experience at Trussell Tech includes the operation and maintenance of an ozonation system, granular activated carbon and anthracite biofilters, and soil columns that treated secondary effluent from a full-scale wastewater treatment plant. His experience also includes Title 22 testing of a pilot-scale microfiltration (MF) unit, performing water quality analyses on grab samples, data analysis, and assisting in the preparation of technical reports. Currently, Mr. Monroy is working on the Soil Aquifer Treatment for Groundwater Recharge Project funded by the Water Research Foundation (WRF), where his responsibilities involve the sampling and maintenance of soil columns.
